Come to Scoville Park on Saturday, June 6, 2009 from 1-5:30pm to watch local teen bands compete for a chance to advance to the regional competition later in the summer as well as other cool prizes. Besides the chance to hear 6 great local bands, audience members will have the chance to win some really cool prizes just for showing up and we're holding a Guitar Hero competition so that everyone will have a chance to rock out. And best yet....it's all FREE!!!!
Here's your chance to get your band heard! Any unsigned teen band is welcome to apply. Winning bands have a chance to compete at regional and state levels. Bands must consist of at least 2 members between the ages of 12 and 21 (and at least half of the band members must be no older than 19 years of age) as of August 15, 2009. Bands must submit the entry form and demo to Bobbi at the Park District Administration Office at 218 Madison by Friday, May 8, 2009 at 5pm.
