49 Lake provides access to over 1,500 hours of drop-in activities each year like pool, air hockey and ping pong, computers, video games, and movies - just to name a few. And while teens are welcome to come to 49 Lake during drop-in hours and do their own thing, staff also lead a wide-range of drop-in activities each day (Our staff can play a mean game of UNO and Mario Kart!).
The best deal for Oak Park teens who want to visit the teen center is to get a membership. For only $25/year, members can visit the teen center as much as they want during drop-in hours for free! They also get discounts on many of the extra events that take place at the teen center like movie nights, parties, etc.
If you're a middle or high school student living in Oak Park who just wants to try out the teen center before committing to a membership, you can visit the teen center for only $3/day. Make sure a bring some sort of an ID or report card so we know who you are and so that we can make sure to keep this place for teens only!
Currently teens that live outside of Oak Park are only able to visit the teen center as the guest of a member for $3/day. However, we've got lots of events, parties, and trips that all teens are eligible to attend.
All 6th-12th graders living in Oak Park are eligible for membership. All you need to do is have a parent fill out a registration form. Bring the signed form, $25, and proof of age and residency (school ID's, report cards, etc. work great!) to the teen center and we'll take care of processing your registration right away.
